The Mace - Tables of Organization and Equipment

None of these force layouts should be taken as History. While every attempt has been made to make the forces historically plausible, the force breakdowns are a product of the author's imagination.

German Forces

The bulk of the German forces are an unorganized mob just trying to escape the Falaise Pocket:

German Armor:

Elements of:

Command Rules: All vehicles can move within 6” of the paved road, west to east, at any speed, or can move to cover if fired upon. Infantry can do the same, but can fire at any enemy unit within range.

In order to move any other way or fire, the unit must be attached to and within 6” of one of the SdKfz 250/1 command halftracks.

Units available: (basically a random pile)
Plus, a lot of horses, infantry, halftracks, trucks, ... (these have no combat capability, they're trying to escape the pocket). The objective of the German player is to get as much of this "Circus" off the East edge of the board as possible. A couple battalions of German infantry start on the board opposite the Polish infantry.

The Germans also get to use the forces of Kampfgruppe Eberhard, which is attacking from the east side in an attempt to keep the road open:

Polish Forces

This diagram shows the overall Polish force breakdown. The forces all start on-board, with most of the infantry dug in around The Mace, while the armor is deployed somewhat north and somewhat south of the Mace itself, behind the infantry lines.
