Florennes, Belgium -- 15 May 1940

The peaceful view looking eastward from Roseé, before the battle has begun.
A similar view from Flavion, looking west towards Roseé and Corenne. Florennes is a few kilometers to the west of here.
Renault R35's which had originally been in Flavion had fled a kilometer down the road. The PzIII's discover they have to close to 250m to have a chance of penetrating these slow but well-armored light tanks. Fortunately for the PzIII's, the R35's lack a decent gun for counterpunching.
Panzer IV's approach the pillbox east of Roseé with cover from the sIG-33s. These latter will turn out to be quite useful for their smoke and direct-fire HE abilities.
From near Corenee, a view of the oncoming German armor.
Pz38t's lead the way west through the mined field as the Panzer IVs negotiate the dragons's teeth and prepare to fight the pillbox.
A high-altitude view of the battle at its critical point. The Char-B's have just been revealed near the church on the left (in Corenne) and smoke has been dropped to obscure their shots. Pz38t's near the bridge battle the Char-B's on the road while keeping up their speed. The PzIV company moves into the field near Roseé.
The aftermath of the battle between the Char-B's and Panzer III's. Most of both companies are destroyed or abandoned. The last Char-B and the church were destroyed by Stukas.
Both southern Char-B's are tracked and one is heavily smoked by the oncoming Panzer IV Company and sIG-33 support.
