Phase 3: Reserve Movement |
Lightning War |
Reserve Movement Restrictions
By using Reserve Movement, a detachment can move during both Normal
Movement Phase and Reserve Movement Phase, effectively doubling its
movement speed. Place a "Reserve Movement" chit next to any detachment
using Reserve Movement.
The following restrictions are placed on a detachment using Reserve
Movement:
- The detachment must not move through a region known to be in the "effective danger area" of enemy units.
The "effective danger area" of a tank or gun is 1500m (30"); that of an infantry squad is 250m (5").
- The detachment must be under written orders that state, "Use Reserve Movement".
- The detachment must have a leader.
- The detachment must use its full movement allowance each time it moves.
- The detachment cannot fire.
- The detachment cannot participate in Observation Phase except directly along its path of travel.
- If the detachment is forced to take a morale check, it does so at -2.
- The detachment must discontinue Reserve Movement if fired upon.
To resume Reserve Movement, it must be issued new orders.
All units conducting Reserve Movement take their second movement during
this phase. Sequencing and rules are the same as the normal Movement
Phase.
