| Notes: The Wespe formed two-thirds of most German self-propelled artillery units in 1944, the other third being Hummels. It was one of the best uses of an obsolete hull, but it special timber vehicles were needed to carry a full complement of ammo, since only 32 rounds could be carried on the Wespe itself. First used at Kursk. The gun was the 105mm le FH 18 M howitzer. |
